National Youth Conference of Catholic Congress to Spotlight Youth Role in Politics, Media, and Community Work

Kochi: The Catholic Congress Global Youth Council is set to host its much-anticipated National Youth Conference (NYC 2K25) on February 16 and 17 at the Palakkad Youth Temple. The two-day event will place the spotlight on the active role of young people in politics, media, and community organization, aiming to empower a new generation of leaders within both Church and society.

The conference will bring together leading voices from socio-political and community spheres, creating a platform for dialogue, learning, and collaboration. The program will feature panel discussions, a youth assembly, seminars, and debates all designed to foster critical thinking and proactive engagement among participants.

The distinguished guest list includes Bishops Mar Remigius Inchananiyil and Mar Peter Kochupurakkal, Catholic Congress President Prof. Rajeev Joseph Kochuparambil, Director Rev. Dr. Philip Kaviyil, General Secretary Dr. Josekutty Othalail, Youth Council General Coordinator Sijo Ilanthoor, and Convener Joyce Mary Antony.

As a symbolic prelude to the event, the NYC 2K25 logo was formally unveiled by Major Archbishop Mar Raphael Thattil, who handed it over to Changanassery Archbishop Mar Thomas Tharayil. The organizers expect the conference to serve as a milestone in uniting young Catholic voices for a more engaged, value-driven, and socially conscious future.
