Mananthavady: In a heartfelt initiative emphasizing that "Blood donation is a priceless gift," the Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM) of Mananthavady Diocese organized a blood donation camp in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Mananthavady Medical College. The event was jointly hosted by KCYM Payyampally Region and Payyampally Unit.
The camp was inaugurated by Payyampally Forona Vicar, Fr. Sebastian Elamkunnel, who urged the youth to actively participate in altruistic acts such as blood donation, highlighting the life-saving impact of their contribution. The program was presided over by Diocesan President Bibin Pillapillil.
The event witnessed active involvement from the diocesan and regional leadership. Fr. Santo Ambalathara, Diocesan Director, and Fr. Jijo Palattukunnel, Regional Director, along with office bearers Aashna Palakunnel, Vimal Kochupurackal, and Duna Maria Kizhakkemannur, guided the program. Regional President Alphons Thanikunnel, Unit President Ashin Motommatathil, and animators Sister Christy Maria SABS and Sister Elsie John SABS also played key roles in coordinating activities. Diocesan syndicate members and regional unit office bearers were actively involved in ensuring smooth organization and participation.
The camp served as a platform not only for life-saving contributions but also for inspiring the youth to embrace service as a way of life.
