New York:  Actor Michael Iskander, known for his portrayal of King David in the Amazon Prime series House of David, has announced his conversion to Catholicism. The 23-year-old shared the news on Instagram, calling the day very special and marking a significant moment in his spiritual journey.

In his post, Iskander reflected on a long-standing sense of calling towards the Church, which had grown stronger over time. He expressed gratitude for the people who guided him along the way and emphasized that his conversion represents the beginning of a new chapter in his walk with God. He also asked for prayers as he embarks on this spiritual journey.

Iskander revealed that playing King David had been a long-time dream. Initially, he was not selected in the auditions, but two weeks later he was called back for a re-audition. Following his mother’s advice to pray and fast before the second audition, he was ultimately offered the role by the same casting team that had previously rejected him.

Reflecting on his experience, Iskander said he believes God has the power to choose anyone to fulfill His will, even in the face of rejection and challenges. He encouraged others to trust in God’s plan and maintain a close walk with Him to overcome obstacles.
