New Delhi: Fr. Joseph Thachaparambath CMI, a prominent figure in the Syro-Malabar Church, has devoted his life to pastoral care, education, and ecclesiastical administration. Born on 24 February 1969 at Nalumukku, Nazareth Valley in Idukki district, he embarked on his spiritual journey early, joining the minor seminary of the Mar Thoma Province of Chanda in 1985 and making his first profession in 1989.
He pursued rigorous academic formation, completing philosophical studies at Darsana Institute of Philosophy and theological studies at Dharmaram College, Bangalore, culminating in his ordination as a priest on 4 January 1997 by Bishop Mar Vijay Anand Nedumpuram CMI. Over the years, Fr. Thachaparambath has seamlessly blended pastoral ministry with administrative expertise, serving as parish priest in Chanda from 1998 to 2002 and taking up key finance roles in both the CMI Mar Thoma Province and the Eparchy of Adilabad.
Beyond administration, he has been deeply involved in the educational apostolate of the Province, shaping programs that integrate faith with learning and mentoring future leaders of the Church. His academic credentials include B.Ed. and M.Ed. degrees, and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Sunrise University, Rajasthan, reflecting his commitment to continual intellectual growth alongside spiritual service.
Multilingual and culturally versatile, Fr. Thachaparambath is fluent in Malayalam, Telugu, and English, enabling him to connect with a diverse faithful across multiple regions.
