Palakkad: A leadership training workshop organized under the banner of the Catholic Congress Global Committee, with the support of the Palakkad Diocesan Committee, was held at the Vadakkancherry Lourdes Mata Forona Parish Hall. The event, which sought to strengthen organizational skills and foster a new generation of leaders, was inaugurated by Catholic Congress Global President Rajeev Kochuparampil.
The gathering was presided over by Jose Vadakkekkara, Vice President of the Palakkad Diocese, setting the tone for an engaging and purposeful program. Sessions were led by Global General Secretary Dr. Josukutty Oglail and Global Vice President Benny Antony, who emphasized the importance of leadership rooted in values, faith, and community responsibility.
Also contributing to the deliberations were Global Vice President Thomas Antony, Global Secretary Denny Thengumpalli, and Global Working Committee Member Jijo Arakkal, offering perspectives on how the Catholic Congress can address contemporary challenges through coordinated action.
On the diocesan front, Fr. Cherian Anjilimoottil, Diocesan Director, and Antony Kuttikkadan, General Secretary of the Diocese, took active roles alongside Jose Mukkada, Diocesan Treasurer. The program also saw the participation of Forona Presidents Wilson Kollannoor, Benny Mattappilly, and Joy Philip, highlighting grassroots engagement. AB Vadakkekara, General Coordinator of the Diocesan Youth Council, played a key role in guiding the youth segment of the training.
The workshop served as a platform not only for skill development but also for building stronger bonds across diocesan and global networks, with participants reaffirming their commitment to both faith and service.
