Tamarassery: Bishop Mar Remigiose Inchananiyil has said that the parents of priests are specially chosen by God and that their faith plays a vital role in shaping their children’s vocation. He was speaking at the Ruby Jubilee celebrations of the Tamarassery Diocese, which brought together newly ordained priests and their parents for a commissioning ceremony.

Highlighting the importance of parental faith, the bishop noted that priests draw strength from the spiritual life handed down to them by their families. He added that priests continue to grow in their vocation through constant prayer and reflection on divine mysteries.

Bishop Remigiose also recalled the significant contribution of priests in uniting people and developing the Malabar region in its early days.

The celebration began with Holy Mass at Mary Matha Cathedral, presided over by the bishop, followed by programs at the Bishop’s House. Priests and their parents later visited the minor seminary, where they shared memories and renewed their commitment.

The event featured addresses by Vicar General Msgr. Abraham Vayalil, Ruby Jubilee Convener Fr. John Oravunkara, and Fr. Tom Thomas Aikkumbilil.

Rev. Dr. Kurian Puramadathil led classes, while Fr. Benny Mundanattu, Fr. Subin Kavalakkattu, Fr. Sai Parankulangara, Fr. Lins Mundakkal, and Fr. Kurian Thannikkal guided participants through various sessions.
