Kochi: Mar Jacob Thoomkuzhy, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Thrissur, is being remembered as a spiritual luminary whose life exemplified humility, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the Church and society. Mar Remigius Inchananyil, Archbishop of the Diocese of Thamarassery, described Mar Thoomkuzhy as a deeply spiritual individual whose gentleness pervaded all his activities. “He always treated everyone with calmness and ensured no heart was ever hurt by his words or actions. His commitment to society and the Church shone through in all his endeavors,” said Mar Inchanani in his condolence message.
Archbishop Dr. Varghese Chakkalackal of the Archdiocese of Kozhikode emphasized Mar Thoomkuzhy’s sanctity and simplicity. “He spread the fragrance of Christ through a life marked by holiness and gentleness.
