“Indian Army Chief Warns: ‘If Pakistan Supports Terrorism, Its Map Will Change; Restraint of Operation Sindoor Will Not Be Repeated’”

New Delhi: In a stern and unequivocal message to Pakistan, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has warned that continued support for terrorism will trigger a decisive response from India. Speaking at a ceremonial event honoring the soldiers who participated in Operation Sindoor, General Dwivedi emphasized that the extraordinary restraint shown during the operation should not be interpreted as weakness.

“The Indian Army’s fight is firmly against terrorism,” General Dwivedi declared. “If Pakistan wishes to preserve its place in world history and geography, it must end state-sponsored terrorism immediately. Failure to do so will leave India no choice but to reconsider the situation entirely including the map itself.”

The Army Chief made it clear that Pakistan’s ongoing support for terrorist activities directly threatens India’s national security. Stressing the preparedness of the Indian armed forces, he reassured the nation of the army’s unwavering commitment to protecting the country’s territorial integrity and the safety of its citizens. “Our soldiers have demonstrated extraordinary courage and capability,” he said, “and they have my full support at all times.”

Operation Sindoor, which has drawn widespread attention for its precision and effectiveness, showcased India’s readiness to counter cross-border threats. According to Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh, Pakistan did not succeed in shooting down any Indian fighter jets during the operation. Indian air defenses, in contrast, were able to neutralize five Pakistani fighter jets, while additional counterattacks destroyed ten aircraft including an F-16 stationed at Pakistani airbases.

The revelations by Air Chief Marshal Singh underscore the operational preparedness and tactical superiority demonstrated by India’s armed forces during Operation Sindoor. Analysts say the combined demonstration of restraint and military strength is intended as a clear message to Islamabad: the era of tolerating cross-border terrorism with impunity is over.

General Dwivedi’s warning comes amid heightened tensions along the India-Pakistan border, with New Delhi reiterating that any acts of state-sponsored terrorism will invite immediate and uncompromising action. The message to Pakistan was unmistakable: continue supporting terror networks, and the consequences will extend beyond conventional retaliation, potentially reshaping regional realities.

India’s military leadership has, however, stressed that the country’s approach remains defensive yet resolute, underscoring that the primary goal is to neutralize threats before they reach Indian soil. Operation Sindoor is now being cited as a benchmark for India’s strategic doctrine swift, precise, and unhesitating when national security is at stake.
