Final 13 Freed Israeli Hostages Officially Identified

Jerusalem: The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office has released the identities of the final 13 hostages handed over to the Red Cross on Monday, marking the completion of the latest phase of hostage returns from Gaza. The individuals were confirmed as: David and Ariel Kunio, Avinan Or, Elkana Buhbot, Rom Breslavsky, David Avitar, Eitan Horn, Maxim Harkin, Nimrod Cohen, Segev Kalfon, Matan Tsengauker, Yosef-Chaim Ohana, and Bar Kuperstein.

According to the prime minister’s office, the families of the hostages have been informed by the authorised authorities that their loved ones have already joined Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip and will soon be escorted into Israeli territory. The office highlighted that the Israeli government, along with the security establishment, the Coordinator of the National Repatriation Service, and the Directorate of Abductees, Missing Persons, and Returnees, will oversee the hostages’ transition and ensure the full absorption and rehabilitation process is carried out.

The identification of these final hostages represents a significant milestone in the multi-phase operation that has brought back dozens of Israeli captives after prolonged periods in Hamas captivity. Authorities emphasized that meticulous coordination will continue to ensure their safe return and support for families as they reunite with their loved ones.

This final group’s handover closes a critical chapter in Israel’s hostage negotiations, highlighting both the diplomatic and humanitarian efforts involved in securing the release of citizens held for extended periods. Observers note that while the living hostages have now been repatriated, the process of recovery, reintegration, and addressing the emotional and psychological impact remains ongoing.
