Changanassery: Archbishop Mar Thomas Tharayil emphasized that members of the Syro-Malabar Church should have a strong sense of identity and take pride in the faith and traditions handed down by their ancestors.
He was delivering the keynote message at a training program organized for teaching team members as part of the Syro-Malabar Community Empowerment Year, held at the SB Higher Secondary School auditorium under the Changanassery Archdiocese.
Mar Thomas Tharayil added that it is essential to pass on the history and traditions of the Church and the community to the younger generation.
Archdiocesan Vicar General Monsignor Antony Ethaykkatt inaugurated the event. Syro-Malabar Public Affairs Commission Secretary Fr. Jayim Kokkavayalil, Thamarassery Diocese Aidar EduCare Director Fr. Melbin Vellaykkakudy, CARP promoter Baby Vattakkara, and retired Deputy Tahsildar Antony Aarilchira led the sessions.
Archdiocesan Community Empowerment Committee Director Fr. Savio Maanatt, Career Coordinator Fr. Mathew Nadackal, and Convenor Biju Sebastian also spoke on the occasion.
