Canberra: Cybersystems Australia has acquired the worldwide overseas distribution rights for the Malayalam campus-based film Aghosham. The company, which has been active in the overseas film distribution field for the past 11 years, mainly handles distribution rights in Australia and New Zealand.
Aghosham is directed by Amal K. Joby, who earlier gained attention for the film Gumasthan. The story is written by Dr. Lizzy K. Fernandes, while the screenplay and dialogues are by the director himself.
As the name suggests, the film is set in a festive mood and comes with the tagline “Life is all about celebration.” It is produced under the banner of C.N. Global Movies by Dr. Lizzy K. Fernandes, Dr. Prince Procy Austria, and their team. This is the second production by C.N. Global Movies, following the well-received film Swargam.
The film captures the essence of campus life, blending elements of friendship, competition, and romance, making it a complete campus entertainer. After the success of Classmates, actor Narain returns to a campus setting through Aghosham. Rosmin, who made her debut in Pavi Caretaker, plays the female lead.
The cast includes Vijayaraghavan, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Jais Jose, Johny Antony, Renji Panicker, Aju Varghese, Bobby Kurian, Shaju Sreedhar, Maqbool Salman, Kottayam Ramesh, Kailash, Divyadarshan, Rushin Shaji Kailas, Nikhil Renji Panicker, Dr. Lizzy K. Fernandes, Vijay Nellis, Naser Latheef, Dini Daniel, Titus John, Joy John Antony, Anjali Joseph, and Jens Jose, along with several newcomers.
Music is composed by Stephen Devassy with lyrics by Hari Narayanan and Santhosh Varma. Cinematography is by Rojo Thomas, and editing by Don Max and Gautham Vincent. The project designer is Titus John, with Nandhu Pothuval as PRO controller. Amaldev K.R. serves as associate director, while art direction is by Rajesh K. Surya and costume design by Babish K. Rajendran. Stills are handled by Jaison Photoland.
