New Delhi: India created history by winning their first-ever ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup title after defeating South Africa by 52 runs in the final held at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The victory marks a new chapter in Indian women’s cricket, ending years of near misses in previous editions.

Batting first, India put up an impressive total of 298 for 7 in their 50 overs. The innings was powered by an outstanding performance from Shafali Verma, who scored 87 runs, giving India a strong start.
