Belthangady: The ordination and installation ceremony of the new Bishop of the Belthangady Diocese, Mar James Patteril, will take place today at St. Lawrence Cathedral Church. The installation service in the morning will be led by Syro Malabar Major Archbishop Mar Raphael Thattil.

Archbishop Mar Joseph Pamplany of Thalassery and Mar Lawrence Mukkuzhy will serve as co-celebrants. Following the ceremony, a public gathering will be inaugurated by Archbishop Dr. Peter Machado of the Bangalore Metropolitan Archdiocese. The event will be presided over by CBCI President Mar Andrews Thazhath. Deputy Apostolic Nuncio Monsignor Andrea Francia will deliver the papal message on behalf of the Holy See.

Messages will also be shared by Mar James Patteril, Claretian Superior General Fr. Mathew Vattamattam CMF, Fr. Thomas Kannankal, Sr. Liz Mathew SH, KSMC President Bitty Nedunilam, and Provincial Superior Fr. Sibi Njavallikunnel CMF. Mar Lawrence Mukkuzhy will deliver the vote of thanks in response.

The Episcopal Consecration Committee Coordinator Fr. Mathew Alappatt will welcome the gathering, and Pastoral Council Secretary Jasintha Puthenpura will offer the words of gratitude.
