Darwin: The St Alphonsa Syro Malabar Church in Darwin marked the end of the Rosary month with a special Marian visual presentation under the theme “A journey with our Mother.” The celebration brought together parish members in a spirit of devotion and community.
A statue of Mother Mary brought from Fatima was carried to different homes throughout the month as families gathered for the daily rosary prayers. On October 31, the statue was brought back to the church and placed on the altar. The day began with the Holy Mass, followed by a candlelit rosary procession around the church.
The event also featured a Marian visual presentation that recalled the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in various places around the world. Children and youth of the parish performed Marian songs and devotional dances, adding to the prayerful atmosphere. The celebrations concluded with a love feast that strengthened the bonds among parishioners.
The event was led by parish vicar Rev Dr John Puthuva, along with parish committee members Denex David, Sojan George, and Asha Thomas. Catechism principal Jean Jose, vice principal Jis Emil, and Nurses Ministry coordinator Divya Jameskutty also took part in organizing the celebration.
The annual observance of the Rosary month continues to be one of the most cherished traditions at St Alphonsa Church, bringing the faithful closer through prayer and fellowship.
