Delhi Blast Sparks High Alert in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Following the deadly explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort, Kerala has escalated its security measures, placing the state on high alert. The Director General of Police (DGP) has instructed the Additional DGP in charge of law and order to intensify police patrolling, particularly in areas with heavy foot traffic.

Authorities have emphasized the need for heightened vigilance at places of worship, crowded public areas, railway stations, and bus terminals. District police chiefs have been directed to implement these measures immediately. The public has been urged to report any suspicious activity or items to emergency services by calling 112.

The blast in Delhi, which occurred at 6:55 pm on Monday, has so far claimed 10 lives, with reports suggesting that the death toll may rise. As a precaution, Delhi police have declared a red alert, while states across the country, including Kerala, are reviewing security protocols to prevent potential copycat attacks or further incidents.
