Feast of Christ the King Observed with Grandeur in Jaipur Diocese

Jaipur: The Diocese of Jaipur joyfully celebrated the Feast of Christ the King, bringing together over 1,000 faithfuls at the St Angela Sophia School campus, which marked a century of service this year. The event was a vibrant expression of gratitude for God’s blessings and fostered a deep sense of unity among the Catholic community.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Bishop Joseph Kallarackal, with Bishop Emeritus Oswald J Lewis and priests from across Jaipur concelebrating. During the homily, Diocesan Chancellor Jijo Varghese highlighted that Christ’s kingship is founded on love, sacrifice, and service, urging the faithful to actively embody peace, justice, and reconciliation in their daily lives.

Following the Mass, a Eucharistic procession wove through the streets, serving as a powerful public witness of faith through prayer, hymns, and silent adoration, while instilling participants with renewed hope and a sense of spiritual belonging.

The celebration also paid tribute to the 100-year legacy of St Angela Sophia School, acknowledging its enduring contribution to faith-based education and community service in the region.

The festivities concluded at Sacred Heart Church, Ghat Gate, leaving the faithful inspired, grateful, and committed to living out their mission in the Church and society with renewed zeal.
