India Unveils New T20 World Cup Jersey Ahead of 2026 Tournament

Raipur: India’s cricket fans received a fresh wave of excitement as the national team’s new T20 World Cup jersey was officially unveiled during a special ceremony held alongside the second ODI between India and South Africa. Former India captain Rohit Sharma led the launch, joined by rising star Tilak Varma, drawing widespread attention to the event.

The vibrant new kit, which the team will don for the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup, features a dynamic blend of orange, blue, and white, symbolising energy, tradition, and unity. Representatives from Adidas, the team’s official kit sponsor, and BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia presented the jersey to the players, marking the beginning of India’s preparations for the global tournament.

The jersey launch follows Rohit Sharma’s recent appointment as Brand Ambassador for the 2026 T20 World Cup, announced by ICC Chairman Jay Shah at a high-profile event in Mumbai. The full tournament schedule was also revealed, confirming that the championship will take place from February 7 to March 8 next year, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Rohit’s association with the T20 World Cup carries deep significance. A member of the historic 2007 squad that won India’s first T20 World Cup under MS Dhoni, Rohit also captained the side to its triumphant 2024 title, cementing his legacy as one of the format’s greats.

With the new jersey now revealed and the countdown underway, anticipation is building for India’s campaign as they aim to add yet another chapter to their T20 World Cup success story.
