Changanassery to host special Christmas celebration on December 27

Changanassery:  The Archdiocese of Changanassery is preparing for a unique Christmas celebration on December 27 as part of the closing events of the Jubilee Year marking the incarnation of Jesus. The event is being organised in collaboration with Media Village and various church organisations.

The programme is led by Family Apostolate, Family Fellowship, Yuva Deepthi SMYM, Sunday School and the foranes of Changanassery, Thuruthy, Thrickodithanam and Kurumbanadam. The celebration aims to promote unity among families and spread the Christmas message within the community.

A message rally will begin at 5 p.m. on December 27 from the Archbishop’s House and proceed to SB College. Participants will walk in costumes representing events related to the birth of Jesus, offering a vibrant and meaningful visual reminder of the Christmas message.

The logo of the message rally was released at a function held at the Archbishop’s House. Archbishop Mar Thomas Tharayil handed over the logo to Vicar General Msgr. Antony Ethakkattu. Media Village Executive Director Fr Jofi Puthupparambil and Josukutty Kuttamperoor spoke at the event.

Although major English media sources have not yet reported further updates on the programme, organisers say preparations are underway and the event is expected to bring together parish groups, youth organisations, families and catechism students for a festive community celebration.
