Vatican City: As part of the Jubilee celebrations connected to the Syro-Malabar Apostolic Visitation in Europe, Major Archbishop Mar Raphael Thattil led a solemn Jubilee pilgrimage to St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican, drawing together clergy and faithful in a profound expression of unity with the universal Church.
The pilgrimage was joined by Archbishop Mar Joseph Pamplany, Secretary of the Syro-Malabar Bishops’ Synod, Bishop Mar Stephen Chirappanth, Apostolic Visitor for the Syro-Malabar faithful in Europe, along with priests, lay leaders, and hundreds of believers from across the continent. Their collective presence at the heart of the Catholic Church underscored the deep communion of the Syro-Malabar Church with the See of Saint Peter.
In a deeply prayerful moment, Major Archbishop Mar Raphael Thattil reverently passed through the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica, offering petitions for God’s mercy, blessings, and guidance upon the Syro-Malabar faithful entrusted to his pastoral care.
