Kochi: Veteran Malayalam film actor, writer, director and producer Sreenivasan passed away on Saturday at the age of 69. He breathed his last at a hospital in Thrippunithura near Kochi, where he was undergoing treatment for health related issues.

Sreenivasan was one of the most influential and respected figures in Malayalam cinema. His career spanned nearly five decades, during which he made a deep impact as an actor and as a writer who brought strong social themes to mainstream films.
