Kochi: With the aim of forming compassionate and capable pastoral caregivers who can respond to complex contemporary pastoral challenges, the Parish Research Centre has announced a new Diploma in Pastoral Counselling programme.
The course is designed to equip participants with spiritual and pastoral skills to support young people, children, parents, and couples who approach the Church with deep emotional and personal struggles. Through this programme, learners will gain a clear understanding of counselling, psychology, and pastoral care, guided by experienced professionals who combine academic expertise with practical pastoral experience.
The diploma course will begin online on January 26, 2026. It will include pre recorded video lessons, along with contact classes held two evenings each month on holidays and Sundays. As part of the curriculum, participants will also undergo an internship and a residential training programme to gain hands on experience.
The last date for registration is January 10, 2026. Interested candidates can register through the Google Form link provided by the organisers.
