Catholic Congress facilitated the “Dollar a Day” Advent charity initiative, encouraging members to contribute $20 or more during the season of preparation. Christmas Eve: Faith in Action
On Christmas Eve at 5:00 pm, leaders of Catholic Congress joined the Missionaries of Charity at the Moore Street Hub to experience the joy of giving firsthand. The outreach began with the Our Father prayer, followed by the distribution of chicken biryani to more than 83 homeless individuals. The Sisters expressed heartfelt appreciation for the collaboration, describing it as a living witness to the message of Christ—one of service, solidarity, and hope. Inspired by this experience, Catholic Congress has expressed its intention to expand similar outreach initiatives to other major Australian cities in 2026, particularly where the Syro-Malabar community is active.
