UAE president says country is strong and not an easy target after Iran attacks

Abu Dhabi: The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has said that the country remains strong and united after recent missile and drone attacks linked to the growing conflict in the Middle East.

In his first public comments since the strikes, the UAE president reassured citizens and residents that the country is capable of defending itself. He said the UAE is not an easy target and warned that anyone who threatens the nation will face a strong response.

Sheikh Mohamed said the country is going through a difficult moment as tensions rise across the region, but he expressed confidence in the strength of the nation and its people. He also praised the work of the armed forces and security agencies for protecting the country and responding quickly to the threats.

The president also spoke about the safety of people living in the UAE, including the large number of expatriates who work and live in the country. He said the government will continue to protect everyone in the Emirates and ensure that their security remains a top priority.

His remarks come after Iran launched missile and drone attacks targeting several places in the Gulf region following airstrikes by the United States and Israel on Iranian positions. Some of the missiles were aimed at military facilities in the UAE, including the Al Dhafra air base.

UAE air defence systems intercepted many of the incoming missiles and drones. Authorities said security forces responded quickly to the attacks to limit damage and protect civilians.

The rising tensions have caused concern across the Middle East, with several countries calling for calm and urging efforts to avoid a wider regional war.

Despite the difficult situation, the UAE leadership has said the country remains stable and determined to defend its sovereignty while continuing to ensure the safety of its people.
