Air India reschedules several flights to Gulf countries amid regional tensions

New Delhi: Air India has rescheduled several flights to Gulf countries as airlines continue to face disruptions caused by tensions and airspace restrictions in parts of the Middle East.

The airline said the changes affect services between India and several destinations in the Gulf region, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Oman. Flight schedules have been adjusted to ensure passenger safety and to manage delays caused by changes in air routes.

Air India and its subsidiary Air India Express have also arranged additional services on some routes to help passengers affected by earlier cancellations and delays. These extra flights are aimed at assisting travellers who were stranded or waiting to reach their destinations.

Aviation authorities say some air corridors in the region are still operating under restrictions due to ongoing security concerns. As a result, airlines have had to change flight paths, which has led to longer travel times and rescheduling of several services.

Despite the disruptions, flight operations to some Gulf cities such as Jeddah and Muscat have gradually resumed after authorities confirmed that the airspace over those areas is safe for travel.

Air India has advised passengers to check the latest flight status before heading to the airport because schedules may change at short notice. The airline also said passengers whose flights are affected will be allowed to rebook or request refunds without additional charges.

Airlines across the region continue to closely monitor the situation as geopolitical tensions in the Middle East affect important international air routes connecting Asia, Europe and the Gulf.
