Vatican City: The Holy See Press Office has released the official logo and motto for the upcoming Apostolic Journey of Pope Leo XIV to Spain, scheduled to take place from June 6 to 12.
The logo reflects a strong message of unity and shared purpose. It is designed as an open circle in motion, formed by human figures joined together and moving upward. The image represents community, encounter and mutual support. It highlights not only being together but also walking forward together toward a common goal. At the center of the logo is the Virgin Mary, symbolising a caring and guiding presence that leads people toward God. She stands as a sign of unity and hope for all.
The motto chosen for the visit is “Lift up your eyes” from the Gospel of John. It invites people to look beyond everyday worries and rediscover the presence of God while opening their hearts to others. The message encourages hope and reflection, calling people to go beyond themselves and embrace unity, beauty and charity in daily life.
The phrase also reflects the spirit with which the Church in Spain is preparing to welcome Pope. It expresses openness, readiness and a shared desire to move forward together in faith and community.
