Washington: The United States has decided to withdraw about 5000 troops from Germany, a move that reflects growing tensions between Washington and its European allies and signals a shift in military priorities.
According to US officials, the withdrawal will take place gradually over the next six to twelve months. Germany currently hosts one of the largest US military presences in the world, with around 35000 to 38000 American troops stationed across several bases.
