Syro Malabar Eparchy of Chicago releases jubilee song ahead of silver jubilee celebrations

Chicago: The St. Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Chicago has released a special jubilee song as part of its silver jubilee celebrations, inviting faithful across the United States and around the world to join in thanksgiving, prayer and unity.

The song was released with the blessings of Bishop Mar Joy Alappatt and marks 25 years of the Eparchy’s journey of faith, service and spiritual growth. Church leaders described the musical offering as a humble expression of gratitude to God for the many blessings received by the Syro Malabar Catholic community over the past quarter century.

Titled as a message of “One Faith, One Family, One Hope,” the jubilee song brings together clergy, religious and young members of the community in a celebration of faith and togetherness. The video features choir members and youth dressed in traditional attire, reflecting the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of the Syro Malabar Church.

The Eparchy said the song was prepared not only as a musical tribute but also as a way to strengthen unity among families and parishes spread across different regions. Organisers hope the song will inspire members of the faithful to renew their commitment to Christ and actively participate in the mission of the Church.

In a message shared along with the release, the Eparchy expressed joy and gratitude to the Lord for the opportunity to celebrate this important milestone. It also encouraged all faithful to listen to the song, share it with family and friends and keep the Eparchy in their prayers as it continues its pastoral mission.

The release of the song comes as preparations continue for the upcoming Jubilee Convention of the Eparchy. Church leaders are encouraging parishioners from different states to register and take part in the convention, which is expected to bring together clergy, religious and lay faithful for prayer, cultural programs and community fellowship.

Founded in 2001, the St. Thomas Syro Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Chicago serves Syro Malabar Catholics across the United States. Over the years, the Eparchy has grown significantly with numerous parishes and mission centers supporting the spiritual needs of immigrant families and younger generations born in America.

Many faithful have welcomed the release of the jubilee song on social media, describing it as inspiring and spiritually uplifting. Several community members noted that the song beautifully reflects the unity and hope of the Syro Malabar community as it celebrates 25 years of faith and service.

Church leaders said the silver jubilee is not only a moment to remember the past but also an opportunity to look ahead with renewed faith and commitment. They expressed hope that the celebrations will strengthen bonds within the community and encourage younger generations to remain rooted in their faith and traditions.

The jubilee song has been released on YouTube and is now available for the faithful to watch and share as the Eparchy continues its journey toward the grand silver jubilee celebrations.
