Thiruvananthapuram: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in Kerala has released the KEAM 2026 Engineering and Pharmacy rank lists, bringing relief to thousands of students who had been waiting for the results. Candidates can now download their rank cards by logging into the official CEE Kerala portal using their application number and password.
The publication of the rank list marks an important stage in the admission process for professional courses across Kerala. Students who have qualified can now prepare for the Centralised Allotment Process, through which seats in engineering, architecture, pharmacy and other professional colleges will be allotted.
The rank list was originally expected to be published on June 20. However, the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations postponed the announcement to allow students whose Class 12 marks had changed after revaluation to submit their updated scores. Officials said the additional time ensured that the final merit list accurately reflected the revised academic records of eligible candidates.
For engineering admissions, the final rank has been prepared by giving equal weight to the KEAM entrance examination score and the marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the qualifying Class 12 examination. The scores from both components were normalised before being combined to prepare the final merit list.
The Pharmacy rank list has also been released. Admissions to pharmacy courses are based on the marks secured in the relevant subjects and the entrance examination criteria prescribed by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
According to the official rank list, Roshan Raju secured the first rank in the Engineering stream, while Dhyan Tej achieved the second rank. In the Pharmacy stream, Vinayak Narayanan emerged as the top rank holder, followed by Jesse Justin in the second position. The announcement has been welcomed by students and schools across the state, with many congratulating the toppers for their achievement.
Education experts said the release of the rank list now shifts the focus to the counselling and seat allotment process. Students are advised to carefully check their rank cards and ensure that all personal and academic details are correct. Any discrepancy should be reported to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations within the prescribed time.
The next stage will be the Centralised Allotment Process, commonly known as CAP. During this process, candidates will be required to register their preferred colleges and courses through the online portal. Based on their rank, reservation category and the availability of seats, students will receive allotments in different rounds.
Candidates are encouraged to study previous years' admission trends before selecting their options. They should also keep all original certificates ready, including mark sheets, community certificates if applicable, and other required documents for verification during admission.
Officials have advised students not to wait until the last day to complete option registration once the counselling schedule is announced. They should regularly visit the official CEE Kerala website for updates regarding counselling dates, option registration, trial allotments and final seat allotments.
Educational institutions across Kerala are also preparing for the admission season as thousands of successful candidates are expected to participate in the counselling process over the coming weeks. The Centralised Allotment Process is expected to begin shortly after the publication of the rank list, with detailed schedules to be announced by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
Students who secure seats will have to confirm their admission by paying the prescribed fees and reporting to their allotted institutions within the deadlines specified by the authorities. Missing these deadlines could result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.
With the rank lists now available, the focus has shifted from examination results to admissions, as thousands of aspiring engineers and pharmacy students prepare for the next step in their academic journey.
