Kyiv: Ukraine and Russia have agreed to a humanitarian corridor to rescue and evacuate civilians from Russian occupation forces encircling Ukrainian cities. It was the second round of talks that lead to mutual agreement. The Human Corridor offers great hope to the thousands of Indian students stranded in the battlefield.
“Second talks are over. Unfortunately, Ukraine has not yet received any positive results,” said Mikhail Podoliak, Ukraine's presidential adviser. Ukraine has called for a ceasefire and a humanitarian corridor with Russian officials but has not agreed to a ceasefire. Russia has confirmed that both sides have agreed to make the humanitarian corridor a reality. “The main thing we decided today was to save the people and civilians in the area of military conflicts,” said Vladimir Medinsky, a former Minister of Culture who led the talks on the Russian side.
Russia urges civilians to use these humanitarian corridors if military action continues," said Leonid Stutsky, Russia's national lawmaker, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said he was ready for talks to end the attack but would continue to destroy Ukraine's military infrastructure. Lavrov said Russian delegation had submitted its demands to the Ukrainian delegation earlier this week and was awaiting a response to the talks. He said Western countries were constantly arming Ukraine, training troops and building bases to turn it into a stronghold against Russia.
