Dhaka: Nine people, including three members of a family, were killed in Cyclone Sitrang in Bangladesh.
The cyclone caused the most damage in the capital of Dhaka, Nagalkot, Charfeson and Lohagara.
Thousands of people were shifted to relief camps from the coast of Cox's Bazar.
About 28,000 people have been admitted to 576 camps so far.
Cox's Bazar Deputy Commissioner informed that 104 medical teams are ready to deal with the emergency situation.
He stated that 323 tonnes of rice, 1198 packets of dry food, 350 cartons of dry cakes and 400 cartons of biscuits have been stored.
The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning for the coastal districts of South 24 Parganas and Purba Medinipur in Bengal.
