Imran Khan, Pakistan's former PM wounded in gun attack

Islamabad: Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan's right leg was injured in a rally led by him.

Pakistani media reports that the firing took place at Gujranwala in Pakistan during the 'Real Freedom' rally.

Shots were fired at Imran who was in the campaign truck. After the accident, he was transferred to a bulletproof vehicle and then taken to the hospital.

Other leaders of the PTI party were also injured.

Tehreek-e-Ins leader Azhar Mashwani tweeted that the person who fired at the rally has been arrested.

His details are not available. According to reports, the attack took place around 4.20 pm

Imran Khan's largest rally in the country since May 25 was held today. The firing area is 200 km away from Islamabad.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the shooting and ordered the interior minister to seek an immediate investigation.
