China ready to strengthen ties with emerging major powers Russia and India

BEIJING : Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning stated on Tuesday that India, Russia, and China are three new "major powers" with significant influence. Beijing was prepared to strengthen ties with both Moscow and New Delhi.

Mao stated in response to a query from TASS Agency regarding the new foreign policy idea in Russia: "China, Russia, and India are three important emerging nations with significant influence. We are prepared to increase communication with the international community, including Russia and India, and to send a strong message to the world about upholding true multilateralism and working together to address global challenges as the international and regional landscape is undergoing profound and complex changes "according to Wang Xiaojian's tweet, the spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in India.

She went on to say, "The development of new major-country relations characterized by respect for one another, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation is a goal shared by China and Russia. The two countries' relationship is not directed at or impacted by any third party. President Xi Jinping visited Russia last month and had a successful state visit. The future direction of relations between China and Russia was charted by the two heads of state. The crucial understandings between the two leaders are being fully implemented by both sides. Regarding the future of China-Russia relations, we have complete confidence."

The new Foreign Policy Concept, which Russian President Vladimir Putin signed last Friday, stated that Russia's priority in international relations is to deepen and strengthen ties with China and India.

China and India were specifically mentioned in the 42-page report, which emphasized the value of "the deepening of ties and coordination with friendly sovereign global centres of power and development located on the Eurasian continent."

Throughout the Cold War, India and Russia maintained close strategic, military, economic, and diplomatic ties. This alliance is referred to as being special and privileged by both Russia and India.

The five main pillars of India and Russia's strategic partnership are politics, defense, civil nuclear energy, cooperation in the fight against terrorism, and space. The 75th anniversary of India and Russia's diplomatic ties was observed.

The document states that Russia will continue to develop a particularly privileged strategic partnership with India with a view to enhancing and expanding cooperation in all areas on a mutually beneficial basis, with a focus on boosting bilateral trade, bolstering investment and technological ties, and ensuring their resistance to divisive actions of unfriendly states and their alliances.

Russia intends to prioritize enhancing the capacity and international role of the interstate association of BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the RIC (Russia, India, China), and other interstate associations and international organizations to help adapt the global order to the realities of a multipolar world.
