Tel Aviv - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appealed to Hamas militants on Monday, urging them to disarm and declaring that the demise of Hamas had commenced. In a video statement, the PM reported the surrender of dozens of Hamas terrorists to Israeli forces, emphasizing that although the conflict is ongoing, it signifies the start of the end for Hamas. Netanyahu addressed the militants, stating, "It is over. Don't sacrifice your lives for Sinwar. Surrender now."
The Israeli military's intense attacks over the last 24 hours have resulted in the deaths of over 300 Palestinians. The death toll in Gaza, besieged since the war began on October 7, has exceeded 18,000, according to the health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra, as reported by Al Jazeera.
The conflict between Israel and Hamas erupted after Hamas fired 5,000 missiles into Palestinian territory on October 7. In response, Israel launched a massive counteroffensive in Gaza, causing significant damage to life and infrastructure.
The international community has been providing continuous humanitarian aid to the war-torn Palestinian territory. On Sunday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) accused Hamas of stealing humanitarian aid and assaulting civilians during the process. The IDF asserted that Hamas prioritizes its terrorist goals over the needs of Gazans. Additionally, the IDF claimed that Hamas was using civilians as shields in the battlefield, even as Al-Mawasi was designated as a humanitarian zone in Gaza.
