St. Amalberga, sometimes known as Amelia, was related to Pepin of Landen in some manner and was born at Brabantrelated. She married Witger and raised three saints: Gudila, Reinelda, and Emembertus.
In the end, she became a nun and her husband became a monk, withdrawing from society. She passed away in 690 and is buried at the Lobbes monastery next to her spouse. Since 1073, her remains have been housed in Saint Peter's Abbey Church in Ghent, Belgium. She is revered as a patron against arm pain, bruises, and fever.
