Kremlin has stated that the war in Ukraine will continue until President Putin's objectives are achieved

Moscow: The Kremlin stated on Tuesday that the war in Ukraine will persist until President Vladimir Putin's objectives are met, either through military action or negotiations. Putin has demanded that Ukraine forgo its NATO ambitions and withdraw completely from four regions that Russia has claimed, terms Kyiv has rejected as a surrender.

"The special military operation will conclude once all the objectives set by the president and commander-in-chief are achieved," Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters, referring to Moscow's term for the conflict. "These goals can be accomplished either through the military operation or through relevant negotiations."

Peskov added that no negotiations are currently taking place between Moscow and Kyiv, as "the Ukrainian side refuses any talks." On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy proposed the possibility of a diplomatic resolution and suggested deploying foreign troops to Ukraine until it joins NATO.
