Major Archbishop Mar Raphael Thattil emphasized that Christmas represents the incarnation of God’s boundless love for humanity. He delivered this message during a Christmas Love Gathering organized for media professionals at the Syro-Malabar Church’s headquarters, Mount St. Thomas. The event brought together professionals from print and visual media to celebrate the joy and love of Christmas.
Extending his Christmas greetings, Archbishop Thattil shared words of blessing and presented tokens of love to the participants. He reminded everyone that Jesus not only taught love but also lived it profoundly by offering His life for His friends, embodying the greatest act of love. He further reflected that it was for this purpose that the Son of God was born as a child in a humble manger.
“Christmas is a call from God, who came to walk with humanity, inviting us to journey together as fellow travelers. It is a reminder that we are all companions on this earthly pilgrimage,” the Archbishop noted in his message.
During the gathering, Major Archiepiscopal Curia Chancellor Fr. Abraham Kavilpurayidathil welcomed the participants, while Fr. Antony Vadakkekara V.C., the Church’s Public Relations Officer and Media Commission Secretary, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Church.
The Christmas Love Gathering served as a platform to share the joy and message of Christ’s birth, underscoring the Church’s commitment to fostering love and unity through its outreach to the media community.
