Since being hospitalized on Friday for bronchitis treatment, Pope Francis has received the Eucharist and engaged in some work and reading, as reported by the Press Office.

The statement also highlighted the Pope’s gratitude for the outpouring of support and affection from people, including those currently hospitalized who have sent messages and drawings of encouragement. Pope Francis expressed his prayers for them and requested that they keep him in their prayers.

Earlier in the day, the Holy See had announced the cancellation of Pope's General Audience for the week due to his ongoing health treatment.
