Vatican City - The Holy See Press Office has confirmed that Pope Francis' condition remains stable. He continues to receive supplemental high-flow oxygenation but has not required non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
He does not have a fever, and there are no direct complications from Friday's isolated bronchospasm, though the risk of deterioration persists, reported the Holy See Press Office.
On Sunday morning, the Pope rested after a peaceful night, later having breakfast, coffee, and reading newspapers. He also participated in Holy Mass with those caring for him during his hospitalization. In the afternoon, he received Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin and Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra for a visit.
The Vatican has reiterated that, despite stable respiratory function and positive response to oxygen therapy, the prognosis remains guarded. Pope Francis remains alert, oriented, and in good spirits.
