Once upon a twinkly night, in the soft velvet sky, there lived a little Moon named Lulu. She wasn’t the biggest, nor the brightest, but oh, how she loved to shine! Every night, she would giggle with the stars and play peek-a-boo with sleepy owls.
One evening, as Lulu rose into the sky, she noticed something strange—her glow was gone! No shimmer. No sparkle. Just a dull, gray puff hanging in the dark.
“Oh no!” Lulu whispered, spinning in tiny moon circles. “How will the rabbits dance without my moonlight? How will the dreamers dream without my silver beams?”
She floated to the North Star for help. “Dear Twinkle,” she sighed, “my light has disappeared!”
The North Star twinkled wisely. “Sometimes, dear Moon, you give away so much glow, you forget to keep a little for yourself. Perhaps it’s time to rest.”
So, Lulu tucked behind a gentle cloud, sipping stardust tea and listening to the lullabies of the night breeze. For days, she watched quietly, while the stars blinked kindly at her and the sun whispered encouragement every dawn.
Slowly, Lulu felt warm light tickling her cheeks. A soft shine returned. Her giggles grew louder, and one fine night, she rose again—glowing golden, round, and proud!
The forest cheered, the sea sparkled, and even the tiniest fireflies blinked in joy. Lulu had learned that even moons need moments to refill their magic.
And from then on, every once in a while, Lulu would take a little moon nap… just to keep her glow growing.
The End.
