Several prominent world leaders have personally contacted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, voicing strong condemnation of the attack and reaffirming their nations’ united stance against terrorism.
French President Emmanuel Macron was one of the first to extend his condolences, conveying deep sympathy for the victims and expressing unwavering support for India in its grief. Macron labeled the attack as "barbaric and inexcusable," stressing the urgent need for global unity in combating terrorism. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal noted that President Macron’s message reflected the collective conscience of the international community.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went further, referring to the incident as an "Islamist terror attack in Kashmir." During his call with PM Modi, Netanyahu pledged Israel’s full support and reinforced the ongoing strategic collaboration between the two nations. The conversation also touched on plans to strengthen the Asia-Europe economic corridor via Saudi Arabia and Israel, underscoring the resilience of bilateral ties even in times of crisis.
Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also expressed her sorrow, offering prayers for the deceased and speedy recovery for the injured. She affirmed Italy’s unwavering support for India in its fight against terrorism and emphasized the importance of continued cooperation in international counterterrorism platforms.
King Abdullah II of Jordan described the violence as a “monstrous act of terror,” calling for a united rejection of terrorism in every form. Echoing this stance, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba issued a heartfelt statement mourning the loss of life. “This vicious attack is utterly shocking. Japan stands shoulder to shoulder with India,” he said, adding that Japan remains firmly committed to eradicating terrorism in partnership with India and the global community.
The Pahalgam massacre, now considered the deadliest terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir since Pulwama in 2019, has triggered national grief and renewed resolve. The Indian government has vowed decisive action, with PM Modi stating that “those responsible will pay the price.”
The international chorus of condemnation sends a clear signal: the world is watching, and terrorism will not go unanswered.
