New Delhi: In a significant initiative to fuse faith with enterprise, the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) is convening a national gathering of Christian entrepreneurs today at its New Delhi headquarters. The conference aims to champion gospel-based values, ethical leadership, and social responsibility in the realm of business.
Held under the theme "Entrepreneurship for Integrated Human Development: A Gospel-Centric Approach," the event will be formally inaugurated by CBCI President Mar Andrews Thazhath. The opening ceremony will be preceded by Holy Communion, underscoring the spiritual foundation of the initiative.
Archbishop Anil J.T. Couto, Secretary General of CBCI and Archbishop of Delhi, will preside over the conference. Keynote insights will be shared by Rev. Alex Vadakkumthala, Bishop of Kannur and Chair of CBCI's Labour Office, who is expected to highlight the intersection of commerce, compassion, and Catholic social teaching.
The day-long program will include expert panel discussions, interactive networking sessions, and workshops focused on nurturing entrepreneurial skills through a faith-driven lens. Fr. Mathew Koikkal, CBCI’s Deputy Secretary General, emphasized the conference's goal of shaping a new generation of Christian business leaders who balance profitability with purpose.
