Indian Missile Strike Hits Pakistan; Two Pak Pilots Captured Amid Escalating Hostilities; Sources Says

New Delhi: A powerful Indian counteroffensive has jolted Pakistan, with reports emerging that Indian missiles and drones penetrated deep into Pakistani territory, reaching as far as the capital, Islamabad. Simultaneously, explosions have been reported in key cities including Lahore, Sialkot, and Karachi, following the precision strike.

In anticipation of further Indian aerial assaults, several Pakistani cities have plunged into darkness under a deliberate blackout. Though details remain limited, sources confirm that India executed targeted attacks across Pakistan. The escalation follows a failed Pakistani offensive launched after 8 PM on Thursday, aimed at Jammu airport. Indian air defense systems successfully neutralized incoming Pakistani drones, missiles, and fighter aircraft.

Significantly, India is also said to have downed a Pakistani Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft during an air surveillance mission near Punjab. In a separate development, Pakistan is reported to have captured an Indian pilot from Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

Defense analysts draw a stark comparison between Pakistan’s tactics and those employed by Hamas, noting the use of grouped rocket attacks designed to saturate and bypass air defense systems. However, Indian forces thwarted the incursion using a coordinated deployment of the S-400 air defense system, Akash surface-to-air missiles, medium-range interceptors (MRSM), and anti-aircraft artillery.

This rapid military exchange signals a dangerous new phase in Indo-Pak tensions, with the situation threatening to spiral into a broader conflict.
