"No More Retaliation Can Be Endured": Pakistan PM Expresses Readiness for Peace Talks with India

Following India's strong counterattack through "Operation Sindoor," Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed readiness to engage in peace talks with India. “We are ready to speak with India for the sake of peace,” the Prime Minister stated. He added that any dialogue for peace must also include discussions on the Kashmir issue. However, India had earlier made its stance on the matter very clear.

The Prime Minister’s statement comes shortly after Pakistan sent a letter to India urging a review of the Indus Waters Treaty cancellation. Shehbaz Sharif made these remarks after visiting the Kamra Airbase in Pakistan's Punjab province.

Sharif was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Army Chief General Asim Munir, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu during his visit to the airbase.
