Kuravilangad: Cardinal Mar George Alencherry described Kuravilangad as a sacred cradle of the apostolic heritage, highlighting its deep-rooted significance in the history of Christian faith in India. He was speaking after leading the solemn Ramsha (Evening) prayers at the revered Major Archbishopric of Marth Mariam Arkadiakoon Pilgrimage Church.

"This is not just a geographical location; it is a spiritual sanctuary where apostolic tradition breathes life," he said. "In times of suffering and trials, one must remain united with the Spirit of God. Faith is tested in pain, and true discipleship is revealed in the face of crisis."
The Cardinal urged the faithful to cultivate lives deeply rooted in divine love expressing genuine love for God and extending that love towards fellow human beings. "In every moment whether in joy or hardship we are called to dwell in God's Spirit and not allow our faith to falter," he said.
The evening prayer service was attended by several ecclesiastical dignitaries, including Archpriest Dr. Thomas Menachery, Senior Assistant Vicar Fr. Joseph Manianchira, and Assistant Vicars Fr. Paul Kunnumpurath, Fr. Joseph Churakkal, and Fr. Thomas Thannimalayil. Pastoral assistants Fr. Jose Kottayil and Fr. Paul Madathikunnel also took part in the spiritual gathering.
