Texas Flash Floods: Death Toll Crosses 100, Dozens Still Missing

Texas: The devastating flash floods that swept through Texas have claimed over 100 lives, with rescue efforts still underway. As per the latest figures, 104 people have been confirmed dead, including 28 children. Authorities have reported that 41 individuals remain unaccounted for.

Among those missing are 10 girls and a camp counselor from a Christian summer camp, where 27 girls had been staying when the floods struck. Search and rescue teams continue to comb through affected areas in hopes of finding survivors.

Kerr County has borne the brunt of the tragedy, where 84 bodies have been recovered so far 56 adults and 28 children. Officials fear the death toll could climb further as operations continue along the rain-swollen Guadalupe River.

Helicopters and reconnaissance aircraft are conducting aerial searches over the mud-choked riverbanks, aided by military drones and Coast Guard patrol planes. The scale of the disaster remains staggering, with nearly five million people still at risk due to potential flooding in vulnerable areas.

The National Weather Service has issued renewed alerts for intense rainfall and more flash floods. U.S. President Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Texas on Friday. He has assured full federal support to manage the crisis and bolster flood prevention measures.
