The Catholic Music Awards often dubbed the “Catholic Grammys” have officially revealed the lineup of finalists for their 2025 edition, according to a recent announcement by the event's organizers.
Celebrated as a leading international event spotlighting musical excellence within the Catholic faith, the CMAs honor talent across Spanish, English, Italian, and Portuguese languages. The highly anticipated award ceremony will take place on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 7:00 PM, at the Auditorium Conciliazione, just steps from St. Peter’s Square. The ceremony will be streamed live via social media platforms, offering global audiences the opportunity to tune in.

Established through the collaborative vision of the Fraternity and Fundación Ramón Pané, under the leadership of Cardinal Óscar Rodríguez Maradiaga and Brother Ricardo Grzona, the CMAs were created to uplift and promote music that serves the mission of the Church. According to the press statement, the awards have become a beacon for artists and faith communities that use music as a vessel for evangelization, bringing together a diverse and multicultural array of voices.
This first edition of the awards features 19 categories, covering a broad spectrum of genres, ministries, and musical expressions. Among the categories are:

• Best Female and Male Singer
• Best Unreleased Song
• Best Liturgical, Marian, and Evangelization Songs
• Best Catechesis Song
• Best Parish Choir
• Best Pop, Tropical, Urban, and Rock Songs
• Best Group, Band, or Duo
• Best Production, Sound Engineering, and Music Video
• Best Song in Any Language
Finalists were chosen after a rigorous evaluation process, with submissions assessed on their theological depth, artistic excellence, and technical merit by a panel of international experts in music and ministry.
Ahead of the award night, a press conference is scheduled for Saturday, July 26 at 11:00 AM at the Vatican, setting the stage for what promises to be a memorable celebration of faith-inspired music.
