Zaporizhzhia: A ferocious wave of Russian military aggression struck Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region overnight, killing two civilians and wounding ten others, including four children, according to regional officials. Governor Ivan Fedorov confirmed the fatalities and injuries early Wednesday, stating that over 567 individual strikes were recorded across 16 settlements within the region. These strikes included missile bombardments, drone attacks, and shelling by heavy artillery. The regional capital, Zaporizhzhia city, bore the brunt of the aerial assault. At least nine residential and commercial buildings were damaged in the city center, many of which had people sleeping inside when the explosions began. What has alarmed both local and international observers is the fact that children are once again among the victims.
