Trump Slams China’s Military Parade, Accuses Xi of “Conspiring” with Putin and Kim

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has unleashed a sharp attack on Chinese President Xi Jinping, accusing him of “conspiring against America” after Beijing staged its largest-ever military parade with Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in attendance.

Writing on his Truth Social platform, Trump struck a mix of sarcasm and fury, questioning whether China would pay tribute to the American soldiers who, in his words, “gave their blood” to help liberate China during World War II.

“The big question to be answered is whether or not President Xi of China will mention the massive amount of support and blood that the United States of America gave to China in order to help it to secure its FREEDOM from a very unfriendly foreign invader. Many Americans died in China’s quest for Victory and Glory. I hope that they are rightfully honoured and remembered for their Bravery and Sacrifice!” Trump wrote.

In a pointed jab, he added:

“May President Xi and the wonderful people of China have a great and lasting day of celebration. Please give my warmest regards to Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong Un, as you conspire against The United States of America.”

The military parade, held on Wednesday in Beijing, marked the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the defeat of Japan. For the first time in years, China rolled out a dazzling display of advanced weaponry land, sea, and air-based strategic systems, precision-guided missiles, and state-of-the-art drones. Fighter jets and helicopters roared overhead in tightly choreographed formations, showcasing Beijing’s growing military might.

This was the first grand military parade since 2019, when China celebrated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic. Officials described it as a demonstration of both remembrance and national strength.

While Trump accused Beijing of conspiracy, President Xi Jinping used the occasion to present a contrasting vision one of peaceful development paired with military readiness. Calling the rejuvenation of China “unstoppable,” Xi reaffirmed the nation’s path of what he described as “peaceful rise.”

“Humanity is again faced with a choice of peace or war, dialogue or confrontation, and win-win outcomes or zero-sum games,” Xi declared. “The Chinese people will stand firmly on the right side of history, adhere to peaceful development, and join hands with the world to build a shared future for humanity.”

At the same time, Xi urged the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to strengthen itself into a “world-class force” capable of defending national sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

September 3 is observed in China as Victory Day, commemorating the nation’s triumph in the “War of Resistance against Japan” in 1945. But this year’s anniversary, marked by the presence of Putin and Kim, carried wider geopolitical undertones.

For Washington, the imagery of Russia, North Korea, and China standing shoulder to shoulder in military solidarity is bound to raise alarms. Trump’s fiery remarks underscored just how politically charged the event has become not just as a show of China’s strength, but as a symbol of a shifting global alignment.
