Kanjirapally: Kanjirapally witnessed a vibrant display of faith and devotion as the Marian pilgrimage, part of the faith life training program for ninth-grade students, unfolded across the diocese. The pilgrimage, organized for students in the Lorenz region engaged in faith formation, commenced at 9:30 a.m. with a solemn Holy Mass at St. Dominic's Cathedral Church, before moving onward in a prayerful Marian procession to Akkarapally.
Along the way, students and faithful recited the rosary, walking together in prayer and reflection. Upon reaching Akkarapally, Diocesan President Mar Jose Pulikkal addressed the pilgrims with a special Marian message. Emphasizing the missionary spirit of the Holy Mother, Mar Jose highlighted that “The Holy Mother is a missionary. Her life reflects virtues of love, sacrifice, service, and patience.” He encouraged students and faithful alike to imitate Mary, follow her example, and bear witness to the faith in their daily lives. He recalled that this is the very message the mediators of the Mission League strive to instill in the faithful.
At the conclusion of his message, Mar Jose Pulikkal imparted his apostolic blessing to the pilgrims. The spiritual journey was guided by Fr. Thomas Valanmanal, Director of the Diocesan Faith Training Center, alongside Fr. Bobby Velikkekathu, Assistant Director of the Mission League, and other members of the Diocesan Executive, who led the students throughout the pilgrimage.
The event not only deepened the young participants’ understanding of Marian devotion but also reinforced their commitment to living the virtues of Christ and His Blessed Mother through acts of service and love in their communities.
