Men’s Group to Lead Rosary Rally in Mexico City’s Historic Center

Mexico City: Hundreds of men will gather in the heart of Mexico’s capital on October 11 for a public rosary rally, an event meant to reaffirm faith and devotion at a time when organizers say society is drifting away from its spiritual roots. The procession will begin near the Metropolitan Cathedral in the Historic Center, a location deeply symbolic of Mexico’s Catholic heritage.

The rally is being spearheaded by the Knights of the Rosary, an international lay movement dedicated to promoting public recitation of the rosary led by men. The group has held similar gatherings across Mexico and other countries, bringing faith into the public square with visible, prayerful witness.

The Mexico City event, scheduled to start at 11 a.m., is expected to draw hundreds of participants. According to General Coordinator Daniel Serrano, the annual procession has become a tradition over the last three years, organized between October 7 and 12 to coincide with the Feast of the Queen of the Rosary.

“As a society, we have retreated from our faith,” Serrano explained. “It is time to stand up for it.”

Beyond the October rally, the Knights of the Rosary also organize processions on other significant Marian feast days, including:

• May 13 – Feast of Our Lady of Fatima
• October 7 – Feast of the Queen of the Rosary
• December 12 – Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe

These processions, Serrano noted, are not isolated events but part of a broader mission to rekindle devotion and bring prayer into public life.

What began as a local initiative has expanded across borders. The Knights of the Rosary now have an active presence not only in Mexico but also in the United States, Venezuela, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, and Chile. The movement, organizers say, is fueled by the zeal of men determined to defend and live their faith openly in a world where religious identity often fades into the background.

The October 11 rally is more than a religious procession it is also a statement of identity and conviction. For participants, publicly praying the rosary is both an act of devotion and a call for society to remember its spiritual foundations.

As the men prepare to lift their voices in prayer before the cathedral in Mexico City’s historic heart, the rally aims to unite faith with presence, reminding passersby and participants alike that the rosary remains a powerful spiritual weapon and a symbol of steadfast belief.
